Paris Metro

It’s hard to miss the iconic Paris metro signs all over the city. My favourite one is ‘Val d’Osne’, which is a 1920s adaptation of the original Art Nouveau designs by Hector Guimard.

It is the perfect mix of old meets new – it is modern in its use of the stencilled font, but it is embedded inside the traditional, intricate design, reminiscent of La Belle Époque.
