The Kiss, Auguste Rodin
The Kiss, Auguste Rodin
I couldn’t take my eyes off the spiralling rhythm of the entwined bodies, bathed in the gentle glow of the warm winter sun.
A symphony of light and shadow. The delicate structure of stone. It was mesmerising, drawing you into the alight passion of two ill-fated lovers.
They say Rodin could see the silhouette of the sculpture hiding within the stone, as if the stone whispered secrets only he could hear, guiding him to unveil the tales it held. It poured from him like a river of poetry.
